Anna D's interest in traffic had sparked at a very young age. She was 11 years old when her homeroom teacher Sister Marcella (Hi, Sister! -- If you're reading this!) handed Anna an orange hardhat with matching orange sash and appointed her "Safety Patrol Girl" (a duty which required her to direct her peers to the easiest and safest route home after school). Anna continued to help her peers (and her entire hometown) travel to and from work quickly and safely when -- years later -- she was given the job as an Airborne Traffic Reporter. Then one day, Anna and her future-husband discovered a lovely Northwest city where traffic never sleeps. They also noticed how everyone in the Emerald City always seemed to be in a pretty good mood. And Anna thought these good people could use her help getting around some bad traffic. So, she and her husband moved and have been living in Seattle happily ever after.
Anna loves the rainy days around the Sound -- especially because of the crisp, clean air it leaves behind. In fact, she embraces our weather the way all her Northwest friends do. For instance, she rides her bike to and from work (thanks to the pedestrian-bike path on the I-90 Bridge). Anna and her hubby often fish Puget Sound or Lake Roosevelt. And you'll never ever see her with an umbrella.
No true Seattleite would be caught dead carrying an umbrella...
...at least, that's what they say.
...don't ask who "they" are.
